Foam Party Activities for Daycare Centers and Summer Camps

Our video above gives you a great idea of what to expect from a foam party. We bring large foam cannons that use a biodegradable solution and tap water from your garden hose to fill your yard or driveway with up to four feet of allergy-free, skin-safe foam that is totally fun!

Although children should not eat the foam, it is perfectly safe, bio-degradable, and allergy-free.

Just about any grassy area, playground, or paved surface will work to host your foam or bubble party. Sports fields or courts and even parking lots work great! 

For liability reasons, we are unable to offer foam parties in public property, such as parks, unless the event is hosted by the town or municipality that owns and operates the park. 

We adjust the height of the foam piles and the music playlists for our parties to the individual audience. Guests from 3 to 93 will enjoy playing and dancing in the foam. 

Outdoor foam parties or bubble parties are not messy. Foam is mostly air and water that quickly evaporates and will leave no mess behind! An ordinary leaf blower can be utilized to more quickly clear foam from the foam party area after your event.  

Yes, our foam is safe for domestic animals, grass, and plants. The bubbles disappear within an hour or two after the party. 

Heavy foot traffic in a small area of wet grass leave some muddy patches, similar to what you may see after playing on the grass after a heavy rainstorm. For larger events, we recommend selecting a paved surface such as a sports court or parking lot (with proper traffic barricades). 

For daytime foam parties, we recommend bathing suits or quick drying athletic clothes. 

Some of our guests like to host color parties - using biodegradable colored corn starch or color balls -  to create a unique and vibrant experience that is similar to a "color run". For these events, a white t-shirt is recommended. 

For UV glow foam parties, we recommend wearing white t-shirts or bathing suits, optionally decorated with neon or UV-reactive paint, for the best fun party experience!

For summer camps, schools, and daycare centers, we recommend 20 to 40 minutes of "foam time" per group. Many organizations that we partner with will offer multiple activities or stations on foam party day, allowing multiple groups of children to rotate through the foam. 

Other activities that pair well with foam parties include water play/sprinklers (great for rinsing off after playing in the foam), outdoor sports activities such as basketball or soccer, and giant bubble activity stations. 

For festivals, schools, daycare centers, corporate promotional events, or college or adult parties, the length of booking varies. Most clients book us for two to three hours, but we have the capacity to run foam for the full length of your event! 

Our foam is made up of dense piles of bubbles that contain mostly air surrounded by a thin layer of water and foam solution. Participants can remain nearly dry if they choose or can range from mildly damp to soaking wet, depending upon their level of play and how far they venture into the foam piles!

We recommend quick-drying clothing or bathing suits and beach or bath towels for those who want to fully immerse in the foam party experience!  Although not necessary, some party hosts choose to offer a garden hose or yard sprinkler for foam party guests to rinse off during the warm summer months. 

In Central Ohio, outdoor foam parties are generally appropriate from May through mid-October. 

When air temperatures are lower (50's and 60's), we offer hosts the option to keep foam levels at waist-height to provide a drier and more comfortable experience. 

For birthday parties and events of two hours or less, we require a $100 non-refundable deposit to reserve your preferred date and time, with the balance due 10 days prior to your scheduled party date.

For events lasting longer than two hours, or for events with add-ons provided by Columbus Foam Parties, such as additional party rentals, an additional deposit may be required. 

Tips or gratuities are not required, however they are very much appreciated by your party host(s) if they arrive on time and provide a memorable foam party experience. Most of our clients choose to provide a cash tip of 10-20% directly to the party host at the conclusion of the party.

Leaving a positive review on Google or Facebook is another great way to recognize your party host for a job well done. Our party hosts receive a cash bonus for every 5-star review that mentions them by name!

Cancel for Any Reason

A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking to reserve your party date and time, with the remaining balance due 10 days prior to your scheduled party. 

Parties cancelled for any reason at least 10 days prior to the event date are eligible for a full refund, less the $100 non-refundable deposit. 

Parties cancelled less than 10 days, but more than 72 hours prior to the event date/time are non-refundable, but may be rescheduled one time without penalty, subject to availability. 

Parties cancelled less than 72 hours prior to the event date/time are fully non-refundable and may not be rescheduled. The party host scheduled for your event will receive full payment for their scheduled hours for your event. 

**Weather Guarantee**

Our weather guarantee allows customers to reschedule or cancel their party up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time and receive a full refund if the hourly weather forecast for the zip code of the party location, as reflected on weather.com, shows a 50% or greater chance of rain and/or a forecasted temperature below 62 degrees Fahrenheit at the scheduled start time of the foam party. This policy supersedes the cancel for any reason policy above. 

What if the weather changes and it starts raining during my event?

During periods of inclement weather, such as active or impending heavy rain, lightning, or high wind, Columbus Foam Parties, at its sole discretion, deserves the right to pause, cancel, postpone, or reschedule your foam party. If the party has already started and must pause or end early due to inclement weather at the sole discretion of the Columbus Foam Parties staff, a pro-rated refund schedule will apply. 

• If a foam party operates for less than 15 minutes and must cancel the remainder of the scheduled party time due to weather conditions at the discretion of the Columbus Foam Parties staff, the party host will receive a full refund. 
• If a foam party operates for 15 minutes or longer, but less than 50% of the scheduled duration of the party, and must cancel the remainder of the scheduled party time due to weather conditions at the discretion of the Columbus Foam Parties staff, the party host will receive a 70% refund.
• If the foam party operates for at least 50%, but less than 75% of the scheduled duration of the party, and must cancel the remainder of the scheduled party time due to weather conditions at the discretion of the Columbus Foam Parties staff, the party host will receive a 50% refund. 
• If the foam party operates for at least 75% of the scheduled duration, but less than the full scheduled time of the party, and must cancel the remainder of the scheduled party time due to weather conditions at the discretion of the Columbus Foam Parties staff, the party host will receive a 25% refund. 

Parties paused, canceled, or postponed at the request or discretion of the party host are ineligible for a refund, except as outlined above. 

Columbus Foam Parties closely monitors the weather forecast works with our clients to make appropriate decisions for the comfort and safety of foam party guests.
